Think of the circumstances you deal with in life and the experiences you have on a typical day. For sure, some days are better than others and there are days you may feel like you're on top of the world. Typically, however, you more than likely have your fair share of crises and frustrations involving work, your business, your spouse, your kids, relationships in general, bills and other money issues, health issues, not getting the things you want - in essence, not enjoying life to its fullest. The real challenge occurs when you've become so accustomed and have adapted so completely to a life filled with frustrations, that you consider it all a normal part of living. In other words, when you numb yourself to pain, you stop realizing that you are in pain. My job as a life coach is to direct you away from what isn't working while bringing you closer to a more satisfying and fulfilling experience of life.

It is entirely possible that stress and unhappiness has its root cause not in the situation or person pulling at us, but rather in how we react to it. Two people can experience the same event in two completely different ways. A person driving to work in a torrential downpour reacts one way, while a farmer seeing his crops getting watered reacts very differently. So is it the rain or how we react to it that produces the stress? Rain may be a good thing, but we may not see it as such. Likewise, a particular career, business or relationship may be perfect for us at a particular point in our life, yet it doesn't feel that way. On the other side of the coin, if there's a tornado coming your way, you'll probably want to get out of its path as quickly as you can. No amount of positive attitude will change its course of destruction. In working together, you and I focus on both the situation and the attitude toward it. We explore the merits of each, and strive to achieve a greater balance between the outer and inner environments associated with the challenge you may be facing. In this way, we determine the changes that are best for you.
